Much friendlier scale after...

Morning, everyone!  Hope you guys are all staying COOL wherever you are.  This crazy-hot weather is for the BIRDS. (southern Florida birds, to be exact!)  I have a whole week of COOL recipes on tap to try to heat up the kitchen as little as possible this week...especially since the last thing I'm sure Scott, who works outside nearly all day, wants is to walk home to a hot house with a hot kitchenJ  Gotta keep it cooooooool for my bud! 

Anyway, the stove was unnecessary yesterday anyway, as Monday was a detox from all the Italian (AND pizza..AND Chicken Holiday!) that was had over the weekend.

8:00am:  Coffee with creamer & cinnamon

11:30am:  Breakfast- Vitatop
Yep...I wasn't even hungry until 11:30 (and headed for the grocery store, which I didn't think going THERE hungry was a very good idea!)

1:00pm:  Lunch- Mini salad
This has been my favorite "quicker than a bowl of a cereal" salad to whip up when hunger hits FAST...
  • 2 handfuls spinach/arugula salad mix
  • 1 diced square of 2% cheddar cheese
  • 1 handful trail mix
  • drizzle of olive oil & a sprinkle of salt
So easy, so good & super filling from all of the protein.  When my 'salt tooth' comes screamin...this is the quickest and healthiest way to curb itJ

4:00pm:  "Dinner"- Blueberry blue smoothie
So, since I had ZERO hours logged at the gym this weekend, Scott was nice enough to let me head off to a back-to-back class Monday night....which SORTA happen (more on that in a sec!).  But since the class-fest was scheduled to begin at 5:00pm, dinner was had...a TAD on the early sideJ hehehehhehe 
  • 1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
  • 1 handful blueberries
  • 100 calorie Strawberry Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon flax meal
  • 1 scoop protein powder
5:00-6:00pm:  Body Jam
I was SUPER excited since it was NEW RELEASE day, which means a brand new routine...and this one just so happen to include lots of jumps and SPINS!  Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!
And this was all fun & games until I had to switch gyms, that are NORMALLY about 15 minutes away from one another.....but add in bumper to bumper GRIDLOCK traffic and your original scheduled program just DOES NOT WORK.  And since I didn't want to walk into a yoga class late, I figured I'd wait it out, cool down from my TRAFFICANGER and head back in a bit.

6:45pm:  'Snack'- Healthy Cinnamon Toast

Which all might have been a blessing in disguise since I realized I was REALLY hungry once I got home.  Really hungry as in I couldn't resist taking a bite before snapping a pictureJ hehehehhe

7:45-9:00pm:  Gentle Yoga
It might not be my usual crazy power yoga, but gentle yoga TOTALLY sneaks up on you with how much of a workout it can be.  Plus it's always nice to have a chance to remember proper alignment & technique to make your classes even more effective.  

And with all that said & done, I can officially say the scale was MUCH friendlier this morning than yesterdayJ  Not that it matters all that much, but it's still nice for the soulJ
